Invite users via Email (Cloud Installations)

When using the new Default authentication for Data Hub Cloud:

  • invite new users by specifying their full email address on the Users and Groups tab

  • invite users one at a time

When selecting the default (initial) role for the new user, assign at least one role to the new user, which represents the user's initial role. Multiple roles can be assigned now or at a later time.

Invite users via email (default authentication)

When using the Default authentication for ZAP Cloud, you can invite new users by specifying their full email address on the Users and Groups tab.

The top portion of the tab shows all previously invited users, and allows you to both view and edit their roles.

You can invite a new user using the options in the Invite User area (in the lower portion of the tab). Simply type the user's full email address in the User Email text box, and specify the user's default role (or roles) using the User Roles text box and corresponding tag controls.

After you click Send Invitation, the specified email recipient will receive an email with instructions for how to log into your ZAP BI instance. Any invited users will need to create a user name and password and then log in to the instance.

Troubleshoot invites not received

When invites seem to not arrive it would usually mean it went in to the spam or junk folder. Do the following:

  • Check you spam/junk folder and move the email back to your inbox. Click the link from there.

  • If the email is not in your spam folder, remove the user from Settings -->> Users and Groups and re-invite the user.
