Pre-requisites

Connecting to Salesforce.com requires a case-sensitive alphanumeric security token that is tied to your password. Whenever your password is reset, your token is also reset.

To get your token:
  1. Open Salesforce as an administrator, and click on your profile, then settings in the top right corner.

  2. the left pane, expand My personal information and click on Reset my security token.

  3. Click the Reset security token button - this will send yo an email with the security token. You token might look something like this: A1YnsNbP9x2pZttKM0qw5hyT

Connection settings

Define the following connection settings for a Salesforce.com-based data source:

  1. Url - The URL of the Salesforce.com domain you want to connect to. (This could already be populated)

  2. User Name - The user name you use to connect to the Salesforce.com domain specified in the previous item. (Usually the email associated with your profile)

  3. Password - The password field requires your password and security token concatenated. E.g.

    Your username is user@domain.com, your password is ChosenPassword and your security token is A1YnsNbP9x2pZttKM0qw5hyT

    In Data Hub provide the following:

    Username: user@domain.com

    Password: ChosenPasswordA1YnsNbP9x2pZttKM0qw5hyT
