Deploy the Data Hub auditing solution

To access the auditing resources, you need to first use the solution (included with your installation) to create a model and then deploy the included analytics (resources). Once deployed, these resources can be used like any other Data Hub resource.

To create and use the auditing solution, you need to be assigned the Data Modeler role on one or more organizations, and your installation must have the Modeler license permission.

  1. Verify that the necessary database (that contains the information used by the auditing solution) is being used via the Log User Actions setting.

  2. Click New resource >Model.

  3. On the Select Source screen:

    1. Under the Files & Other section, select ZAP Auditing.

    2. From the source type pop-up, click DEPLOY on the Zap Auditing entry tagged Model and Analytics.

    3. In the Server text box, specify the server that you want to audit. Either select the server from the drop-down list or type it directly in the text box.

    4. Specify authentication information.

    5. From the Database drop-down, select the database for the instance of Data Hub you want to audit.

  4. From the Connect screen, specify the server connection information.

  5. Click Test Connection.

  6. Once the connection information is verified, click Next.

  7. From the Create Model screen, specify the model's name, the model server, and the database (data warehouse) name.

  8. Click Next.

The model is created. Once the process is complete, the Configure Calendars screen appears.

  9. Specify any additional calendars.

    1. In the Server text box, specify the server that you want to audit. Either select the server from the drop-down list or type it directly in the text box.

    2. Specify authentication information.

    3. From the Database drop-down, select the database for the instance of Data Hub you want to audit.

      Note

No additional calendars are required for the solution to deploy correctly.

  10. Click Finish.

The model's tab appears, showing data sources, pipelines, relationships, and other typical model details.

  11. The related analytics (resources) are displayed in Resource Explorer within the following three folders:

    3. Model Monitoring
