Analytics with Tableau

Data Hub's Unified Layer technology provides an abstracted, trusted, and standardized reporting structure for common entities.

Unified Data Models for Tableau

When applied to pipelines of a data model, this feature ensures you can leverage all of ZAP’s supported pre-built analytics.

Several Unified Layers are packaged for common entities. The data models that use them are called ZAP unified data models. They include a set of Tableau Extracts and Tableau Workbooks, organized by functional modules (e.g. Sales).

Tableau Extracts act as a columnar, aggregated, and in-memory data model on top of the data warehouse that’s generated by ZAP Data Hub, providing you with lighting fast performance.

Where Tableau is used as a reporting tool, ZAP Data Hub for Tableau provides solutions for data unification, data modeling, and reporting

ZAP integrations with Tableau

In addition to having packaged a set of Tableau Extracts and Workbooks for core ERP modules, ZAP Data Hub integrates core elements of its data model and processing technology with Tableau.

After deploying a pre-built ZAP unified data model for a given ERP data source, configure Data Hub to connect to your Tableau Server or Tableau Online instance.

ZAP’s unified-layer data models then publish Tableau Extracts and Tableau workbook that are automatically refreshed at the same time as your ZAP Data Hub data model.

Once refreshed, you can analyze your refreshed Workbooks in Tableau Server or Tableau Online or create new workbooks from the published Tableau Extracts
