Create a model from Salesforce solution
Requirements
Data Hub v8 or later
Salesforce
Create a new data model
Click New resource > Model.
Select source
In the Select Source step:
Under the Apps (API) section, select Salesforce.
From the source type pop-up, click Deploy on the Salesforce entry tagged Model.
Connect
To set up the connection between Data Hub and Salesforce complete the following fields:
URL - The URL of the Salesforce.com domain you want to connect to.
User Name - Enter the user name of a user with access to the Salesforce instance.
Password - Enter the password for the provided user name.
Password - Enter the password for the provided user name.
Click Test Connection to verify that ZAP Data Hub can connect to the Salesforce database with the credentials provided.
Click Next to continue to the Create Model step.
Create model
To deploy the data model provided by the Solution, complete the following fields:
Model Name - Enter a name for the new data model.
Model Location - Click Browse and select a root directory for data model using the Select Folder pop-up window. New folders can be created by right-clicking on existing folders and selecting New Folder.
Model Server - Select an existing Model Server to use for this Data Model, or select Create new model server… to open a New Model Server tab.
Model Database Name - Enter a name for the data warehouse table to be stored in Microsoft SQL Server. If the Model Database Name is already in use, attempting to create the model will not proceed until the Model Database Name is changed or Ownership of the existing table is changed.
Deploy Analytics - When checked, analytics provided by the Solution are deployed during model creation. When cleared, analytics will not be deployed during module creation and will need to be deployed later from the model task pane.
Modules- Select the pre-packaged modules to be deployed for this data model.
Once the model is configured, click Create Model. The model creation process takes several minutes.
Select from the four calendars provided:
Note
All four calendars start on January 1 by default. This can be changed using the calendar pane.
Calendar YQMD - Calendar: Year, Quarter, Month, Day
Calendar YWD - Calendar: Year, Week, Day
Fiscal YQMD - Calendar: Year, Quarter, Month, Day
Fiscal YWD - Calendar: Year, Week, Day
Click Finish.
