AI usage
The AI usage page shows how many Zap AI credits your organization has left and who's using them. You can also set weekly budgets and choose when administrators are notified about usage.
To open the page, click Settings > AI usage.
Zap AI usage is free during the initial release period.
Only administrators can open the AI usage page.
Credit balance
The top of the page shows when your weekly credits next reset, and how many credits your organization has left:
- Weekly credits remaining - The weekly credits left until the next reset.
- Additional credits remaining - The additional credits left. A negative number shows how many credits Zap AI used beyond what your organization had left. See Negative credit balance.
To buy more credits, click Purchase credits. See how to buy Zap AI credits.
Data Hub updates the balance within the hour. To update it immediately, click Refresh.
Total usage of weekly budget
The bar shows how much of the Organization weekly budget has been used since the last reset, split by type of usage, such as Chat. When the whole budget has been used, it shows Over budget.
The By user table shows how much each user has used:
- Usage - The user's usage compared to the User weekly budget. Hover over it to see the user's usage by type, and their share of your organization's total usage.
- % user budget - How much of the User weekly budget the user has used.
To see each user's share of your organization's total usage in the table, use the table menu to show the % total usage column.
Budgets
Budgets limit how many credits Zap AI can use each week. They don't add or remove credits.
- Organization weekly budget - The most credits your whole organization can use each week. Included in plan shows how many weekly credits your license includes. If you set the budget higher than this, usage beyond your weekly credits uses additional credits.
- User weekly budget - The most credits each user can use each week. Approximate user capacity shows how many users can use their full budget before the Organization weekly budget is used up.
When a budget is used up, Zap AI can still answer questions about using Data Hub, but can't work with your data until the next reset. Users see You're over budget or Your organization is over budget in the Zap AI chat panel.
To let some users keep using Zap AI with their data after they've used their User weekly budget, give them a role with the Exceed Zap AI budget permission. The built-in Administrator role doesn't include this permission, so use a custom role.

Notifications
Data Hub can email all administrators about your organization's usage, so you can act before users lose access to Zap AI with their data:
- Notify admins when weekly credits run out - Sends an email when your organization has used all its weekly credits. From then on, Zap AI uses additional credits, and if there are none left, it's limited until your credits are back above zero. Use this to know when to buy more credits.
- Notify admins at n% of weekly budget used - Sends an email when the chosen percentage of the Organization weekly budget has been used. Use this as an early warning, so you can raise the budget before your organization goes over it.
