Additionally, modeling enhancements include on-demand refresh capabilities for Analysis reports and improved Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud connector with dynamically generated extensions.
Zap Live enhancements
Custom queries release
The custom queries feature is now generally available in Zap Live. This allows you to design and run custom queries directly within the Zap Live task pane, providing a powerful way to analyze your data without needing to switch contexts.
Resource explorer
Loading Data Hub reports into Zap Live is now even easier with the new resource explorer. Navigate to your report within a familiar folder structure, or search for it directly.
Table formatting
You can now apply formatting to Zap Live tables, and the formatting will follow the data, rather than the position on the worksheet. See the table formatting reference for more information.
Modeling enhancements
On-demand refresh from analytics
Report designers can now update the underlying data for an Analysis report from within the report itself, processing only the parts of the model required for the report. In order to ensure optimal performance, the relevant pipelines may need to be configured to support on-demand refresh. See how to refresh report data on-demand for details.
This feature is available to customers on the Gold plan or higher, and requires design permissions.
Existing connector enhancements
Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud dynamic extension
The Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud connector now uses a dynamically generated extension tailored to your specific environment. This new extension can be downloaded directly from the data source screen after signing in.
