Modeling enhancements​

Reference relationships​

An exciting new relationship addition for modeling in DATA HUB: Reference relationships . It is the ability to add a relationship path from a measure group > dimension > dimension. More details at Defining reference relationships.

Additional Information for background tasks​

The duration a task has been running or queued for is now visible in the status column. When hovering on the status, the task start time is visible.

Background tasks

In addition, when a task is cancelled it will now show when it was cancelled and how long the task was active for, e.g.

  • Cancelled while running will show Ran for ...
  • Cancelled while queued will show Queued for ...
  • Cancelled while deferred will show Deferred for...

Connector enhancements​

SAP Business One - new HANA connection​

A new HANA connection has been added that supports a highly flexible SQL Query and is much easier to configure.

REST connector - variable update​

When working with REST pagination variables {{SkipCount}} and {{PageCount}} some APIs require an explicit value specified for the first page.

An optional argument has been added to specify the first page.

D365 Sales - New Authentication method​

A new authentication method has been added.

D365 Sales now supports two authentication methods:

  • User Authentication - requiring a username and password (Existing)

    User credentials

  • Application User - a service account only used for direct API access. (New). Details about this method and how to configure it is available.

Analytics enhancements​

Drill-through - enhanced time context slicer behavior.​

When a drill-through target has a time context slicer, drilling through will replace the time context slicer selection instead of replacing it with the filter or slicer from the source report.

Every release contains performance enhancements and bug fixes to improve Data Hub.
